The Tashi and Mars Shoot

As the main piece of promotional material for our OSAKA SKULLY campaign we teamed up with AUSTIN BANKS for this shoot. The shoot included a couple of samples of our work that had yet to be developed further for release. The belt buckle you see Tashi wearing was one of the first things Neo ever drew up for us to 3D print when i had just gotten my first printer. We spent a couple months making so many adjustments to that model, trynna figure out the buckle mechanism, what belt we would source, what material it would be made out of. We were really fucking with the fast paced prototyping we could do with 3D printing, it was a really fun stage of just trying out different samples. 

The shoot featured a fake e-club we had designed cause Mars's character in this story ran digital raves. Tashi's character has an SL500, that was actually NEO's car at that time, me and him spent a good bit of the summer before that trynna fix it up and we even kept playing with the idea of starting a car body company with 3D printed parts and also the molded fiberglass too. 

If you look closely in the different apartment photos youll see different parts of our individual creative efforts of that time scattered around. The table in the apartment is one we custom built when NEO had moved into that apartment, we built it as half TV stand half his computer table where he produced a lot of post-ultraslump music, we built the table out in my garage and it was a pain in the ass when we had to do the epoxy resin pour for the first time. We still got that table with us now in MASS HQ. There's also the MASS COAT HANGER which was the second thing we had designed and 3D printed.
